Been spending a lot of time recently looking at maps and preparing my tackle/boat for my first tournament of the year, the Southeastern Everstart on Lake Okeechobee.  I would like to do well in the event, but my main reason for fishing this tournament is to better prepare me for the first FLW Tour event which is also on Lake Okeechobee in early February.  I know which two areas of the lake in which I am going to spend all my practice time.  In the past I have spent way to much time running around on that big lake, next year I am going to spend my practice time with a rod in my hand and my trolling motor down.  I have struggled at Okeechobee in the past, but feel really good about my chances for a couple of solid finishes to start out my year in 2013.
